فسحة، مبادرة تقودها سارة إسلام، المؤسسة المشاركة في مزج، وإنصاف بن عثمان الحمروني، المؤسسة المشاركة في آكومن ستوديو للكرامة، هو مختبر حضري مجتمعي حيث يلتقي الفنانون و السكان والجهات المعنية بالمدينة. من خلال التصميم والفن، تهدف فسحة إلى إعادة اكتشاف وتخيّل وتشكيل بيئة حضرية متجانسة ونابضة بالحياة في الخبر بأساليب تشاركية. في جوهرها، يضع المشروع المشاركة المجتمعية كمبدأ قائد، مدركًا للدور الحاسم الذي يلعبه كل فرد في مجتمعنا في صناعة مدينة مستدامة ومزدهرة. توفر فسحة منصة للفنانين والمصممين وأعضاء المجتمع للتعاون في صياغة أساليب مبتكرة للتصميم
يرتكز المشروع على ثلاثة أركان أساسية: كلمات، حوار، ومركز الابتكار الحضري. كلمات هي مكتبة رقمية تجمع النظريات الحضرية العالمية وتقوم بتوصيلها بالسياق الفريد والتراث في السعودية، مما يعزز التفكير النقدي حول الأماكن الحضرية. حوار هي منصة وسائط متعددة تستخدم البودكاست، والفيديوهات القصيرة، والندوات الإلكترونية لتسهيل المناقشات بين خبراء التخطيط الحضري واستكشاف الأفكار المبتكرة لتشكيل البيئة الحضرية. مركز الابتكار الحضري هي مساحة إبداعية حيث تتحقق أفكار المجتمع من خلال ورش تصميم تشاركي في التصميم والبناء، مما يؤدي إلى تحقيق مساحات حضرية شاملة. تعمل هذه الأعمدة معًا لتمكين الأفراد، وتحفيز العمل الجماعي، وتشجيع الملكية في خلق بيئة حضرية تتماشى مع طموحات المجتمع
Fus-ha, an initiative led by Sara Islam, co-founder of Mazj, and Insaf ben Othmane Hamrouni, co-founder of Œcumene Spaces For Dignity, is a community urban lab where creatives, residents, and city actors converge. Through design and art, Fus-ha aims to rediscover, reimagine, and reshape a co-produced vibrant and harmonious urban habitat in Khobar. At its core, the project places community participation as its guiding principle, recognizing the crucial role every person in our community plays in crafting a sustainable and thriving cityscape. Fus-ha provides a platform for artists, designers, and community members to collaborate and co-create innovative approaches.
The Extraordinary Process comprises three core pillars: Kalimat, Hiwar, and Urban Innovation Hub. Kalimat is a digital library that consolidates global urban theories and contextualizes them to the unique heritage of Saudi Arabia, fostering critical thinking about urban spaces. Hiwar is a multimedia platform that uses podcasts, short videos, and webinars to facilitate discussions among urban planning experts and stakeholders, exploring innovative ideas to shape the urban environment. The Urban Innovation Hub is a creative space where community-driven ideas are brought to life through co-design and co-build workshops, resulting in inclusive and transformative urban spaces. These pillars work together to empower individuals, inspire collective action, and encourage ownership in creating an urban environment that aligns with the community’s aspirations.
